“7 Post Card Views of Tartu, Estonia” is a collection of linocut-printed abstractions derived from structures around Tartu, Estonia where I was an artist in residence at TYPA from September-November of 2019. The printing process was an experimental form of relief printing using linoleum shapes mounted on plexiglass and printed with a Soviet-era foil stamping press and Soviet-era inks. Cards were perforated on the lefthand side using an A. Hogenforst perforator, which is nearly identical to a vintage Rosback perforator.
